Joe's is
the brainchild of Louie's 106 co-owner Joe Elmiger. Joe set out to
create a traditional sports bar with a with upper class comfort-food and
a casual, inviting atmosphere. There's the requisite large oak
bar; flat-screen TVs on every wall; shuffleboard and pool tables
providing free...yes, free...games. But Joe's offers so much more.
The wine list reads more like that of a fine dining establishment.
The patio is surrounded by large shady trees and boasts a 120 inch high
definition TV.
Joe's is no typical bar. A sophisticated taste and preparation are
apparent in every aspect of Joe's menu. Macaroni and cheese is a
combination of classic béchamel sauce blended with five cheeses suffused
with gourmet franks, and topped with Italian bread crumbs. French
fries are tossed with raw garlic, parsley, kosher salt and fresh ground
pepper. Stuffed mushrooms overflow with rich, delicious shrimp
stuffing. Gourmands will be delighted by the offerings of
parmesan-crusted chicken, NY strip, or bone-in pork chop with goat
cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, and veal demi-glace. Dessert choices
range from key lime pie to traditional crème brulee.
